It is not advisable to run a plasma TV for a long time to run if the temperature is above around 32 degrees Celsius. The heat would can be either in the fireplace or radiation through the chimney. The LCD TV has it's own cooling system, but the heat off the TV operation will work harder to cool and thus results in shortening the life of the TV gradually. In the case, the LCD TV is turned on while the fire burns in the fireplace, the heat will not damage at all. For people who live in places where there is cold, this may not be a good idea.
Mounting is to be nailed into the studs on the wall, when the LCD screen is a heavy piece of equipment. We must ensure that it firmly at the mountain in the bar or else in no time, the LCD crash on the floor. If the LCD screen is rather on the mountain, brackets attached to the back of the LCD screen on which the safety of the LCD screen protection. The mount supports the weight of the LCD, while the studs to the weight of both LCD and mount. There are mounts designed for the angle of the television. These mounts are no different from the regular mounts with the exception of a mechanical arm, when the LCD placed on the arm. It allows the angle of the eye. The only disadvantage of this design is that the LCD will project out from the wall, more than before will eat some space.
Some people believe that placing the TV above the fireplace can be too high. Though the Plasma TV in general, a 160-degree viewing angle, the tilted wall mounts are available in the market that allows the TV 15 to 20% and vertical tilt can be a better view of a plasma without hurting your neck and eyes.
